"Obamacare and the Constitution" and "Drug Representatives"

Here is the post for comments on "Obamacare and the Constitution" and "Drug Representatives" from Weber Writes. What kinds of comparisons can you draw between these two articles, in terms of tone and content? Did you find either article persuasive?

  1. The first article I think has direct tone to reveals the author clearly has their mind made up- not much room for opposition in the writers' mind. The second uses a personal experience to show their perspective, but while I feel a little better informed on the subject, I'm not sure I'm steered in any particular direction as a result of reading it.

  2. First article is strongly affirmative, at least other side knowledge. Second article gave many examples to prove idea, also to give personal experience, but voices, don't know what was focus.

  3. I found the first article to be very persuasive and be very directed toward the point that was meant to be conveyed. The second, while very informative, was less direct and didn't stay as close to the point as I think it should have.

  4. The article made its point very well. the first was direct the second one seemed more personal but seemed to wander off and not come back.

  5. As someone who knows nothing about Obamacare, I now feel very informed on the subject and tend to agree with the article. The second article I found really boring and I am with kevin, I don't feel pulled in any direction on the subject.

  6. I felt this author made their point about Obamacare very well. they supplied a lot of good sources material to back up their augment, and it was well written. this author was direct and two the point and I agree with must of what they had to say. The second article was well written and included a lot of good information but was a little confusing to follow. In the end of the second article I was not sure what the authors onion was. it was like the author was trying to include to much information with to many different views to satisfied a wide range in readers.

  7. In the article, "Obamacare and the Constitution" I thought that this person was really against the whole thing. She made it known to her readers that she did not want any part of it and that it was violating our rights. She did make some good points in her or his article. Even though I do agree with the article and what was said in it, there are always two parts to the story.

  8. The first argument was very specific, and focused in on the issue. there was no real room for argument. She did seem to convey hostility to her readers and if you didn't agree you were wrong. the second one was wishy washy and not real interesting.

  9. "Obamacare and the Constitution" has a very powerful language that seems to be coming through an internal passion of the writer. "Drug Representatives"is a more factual article that focuses on a business problem in the United States. I also feel that the first article has less of a real factual problem and more of a philosophical problem. I bet that the men who wrote the constitution did not have health insurance in mind with they gave the states the right to in part govern themselves.

  10. The healthcare issue with Obama I thought was a great article. It made me want to get more involved and learn more about the things that are going on in our government.

  11. They both come down to the public's welfare in the end. Whether we are by law made to follow Obamacare or choose to take the brand name prescription over the generic; both of these articles are showing us an issue that is present in the medical insurance world. One we have a clear choice as patients and the other is left to be determined.

  12. Both articles i felt were about public. It seemed to to me that the healthcare article was more geared towards the reader and being persuasive and I learned a lot. "Drug Representatives" was more of a factual article to me. I learned a lot about prescription and generic drugs, but it didn't seem like a persuasive article.
